YUN YUN LEE

Yun Yun Lee is a Taiwanese-American cellist Yun Yun Lee has a broad interest of repertoires across classical, contemporary, musical theatre, film music and church music. Ms. Lee has performed in concerts at Galerie Erstererster in Berlin, Germany; Palau de Congressos in Valencia, Spain; the Jack H. Skirball Center for the Performing Arts in NYC; and Airashi Bunkakaikan Kanon Hall in Kagoshima, Japan. Additionally, Ms. Lee has showcased her talent at the three major concert venues in Taiwan: the National Theatre Hall in Taipei, the National Theatre Hall in Taichung, andthe Weiwuying National Center for the Arts in Kaohsiung, as well as the National Human Rights Museum in New Taipei City.

Ms. Lee is also deeply involved in various charity events. She has both organized and performed at several notable events, including a Christmas Charity Concert in Brooklyn benefiting Destiny Rescue, a worldwide non-profit organization headquartered in Indiana. Additionally, she has participated in an Inaugural Celebration Concert at the Rotary Club in Yuan Lin, Taiwan, and a New Year’s Eve Charity Concert at the Haluntai Presbyterian Church in Taiwan. The latter event supported students from the local tribal school.

Ms. Lee serves as the Music Director at the Grace Christian Church in the Bronx, where she also has been coordinating the GCC Music Summer Camp since 2018. She is also Founder and Director of the GCC Community Orchestra, and serves as the Director of the Grace Community Music School, which has locations in both Queens and Bronx. Furthermore, Ms. Lee has taught cello lessons, as well as ear-training and sight-reading classes, at the Chang Hua Performing Arts High School in Taiwan.

Ms. Lee was awarded a Merit Scholarship to pursue her studies at New York University, where she earned a Master of Music Degree in Cello Performance. During her time at NYU, she served as the Associate Principal Cellist with the NYU Symphony Orchestra. Ms. Lee was also accepted to study at the Musik Hochschule Osnabrück in Germany, and subsequently received a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts at Shih Chien University in Taiwan. Ms. Lee’s mentors have included Professor Marion Feldman at NYU Steinhart, Professor Matias De Oliveira Pinto in Berlin and Professor Steve Pologe at the University of Oregon.
